DIN 2401 defines the pressure a material may work at as a function of temperature.
DIN 2401 defines, for the materials used in pipes and armatures, the pressure they may work at as a function of temperature. A valve marked PN 16 does not carry 16 bar at every temperature: as temperature rises the permitted pressure falls. The table below shows that reduction by material grade.
