Gland Packed Globe Valves

Globe valves are linear motion valves designed primarily to stop, start and regulate the flow. The disc of a globe valve can be lifted completely clear of the flow path or can close it off entirely.

Globe valves are widely used for flow control. Flow control, pressure drop and duty range must all be considered in the valve design to avoid premature failure and give satisfactory service. Valves working across a high differential pressure require specially designed trim.
