Piston Type Globe Valves
Piston type globe valves seal with a graphite ring set around a ground piston instead of a conventional disc and seat. The ring set can be replaced in the line, so the valve stays tight on steam and superheated water service far longer than a standard globe valve.
Above DN50 a balanced piston design keeps the operating torque low, so the valve can still be opened and closed easily at high differential pressure.
