The compact pressure transmitter is built from a ceramic/silicon sensor housed in a stainless steel body, or a piezoresistive measuring cell on an AISI 316L body, together with the electronics card. The sensor design keeps the reading reliable through temperature changes and overload.
The AISI 316L diaphragm or the ceramic/silicon sensor gives high linearity across the whole range while keeping hysteresis to a minimum.
How it works
The AISI 316L diaphragm and the ceramic sensor sense the physical deflection of the elements under pressure. The mechanical deformation is converted into an electrical signal by a resistance bridge on the diaphragm and the ceramic sensor. An amplifier converts the cell output voltage into the 4–20 mA / 0–10 V output signal of the transmitter.
The transmitter is fed from a stable external supply. Reverse polarity and excessive supply voltage are prevented by protection diodes at the input. The device is also immune to electromagnetic noise thanks to its internal EMC protection components.
