Axial Metal Bellows Expansion Joints

The axial metal bellows expansion joint with rotating flanges is the flanged version of the metal expansion joint. It is widely used on hot water and steam applications, in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, in pulp and paper, and in oil refineries.

Excellent sealing performance and long maintenance-free operation give a lower investment with better performance.

METAL BELLOWS EXPANSION JOINTS

A metal bellows expansion joint is a flexible connection element that absorbs the vibration, growth or contraction caused in an installation by ambient temperature or by the fluid.

The metal joint absorbs thermal expansion along the pipe axis and can be used for thermal balance and mechanical growth on any pipe line.

Metal bellows joints are used on machinery, in pipe installations and at pump discharges.

TYPES

Metal expansion joints come with rotating flanges, fixed flanges, weld necks and grooved ends. The variants relate to the connection type and to how the joint is installed.
