Fire Detection and Alarm Systems

Addressable fire detection systems are used in many fields today and report a fire, together with its details, to the people responsible. The system consists of a central fire detection panel that manages it and the field components that send information to and receive it from that panel. Every component has its own address, so the alarm is received device by device. Addressable systems can be used in high-rise buildings, large campuses, airports, commercial buildings and residential areas.

In large buildings the evacuation scenarios designed by the fire consultant can be loaded onto the system and run, so that loss of life is kept to a minimum. Depending on the manufacturer there are different types — digital addressable, analogue addressable, interactive addressable — according to how the panel and the field components communicate.

Where integrated building management has to be handled under one roof, the fire detection system can work with the other systems using international communication protocols.
