Fire Extinguishers

A fire extinguisher is a pressurised device whose contents break the link between heat and oxygen. Produced in many sizes and specifications, extinguishers matter above all in putting a fire out while it is starting. They are made in different types according to the class of fire.

Dry chemical powder extinguishers

Also known as ABC powder extinguishers, these can be used on class A, B and C fires — that is, on every fire except metal and electrical fires.

ABC powder extinguishers have outstanding fire fighting capacity. To prevent re-ignition, however, it is necessary to make sure that the area has been cut off from oxygen completely.

Sizes:

• 25 and 50 kg wheeled dry powder extinguishers
• 6, 9 and 12 kg dry powder extinguishers
• 1 and 2 kg dry powder extinguishers

Foam extinguishers and CO₂ extinguishers complete the range for flammable liquid and electrical risks.
